Goodyear – Rebrand
IDentity are appointed by Goodyear to develop, Goodyear Tyre Centres across the UK and oversee their build and implementation.
Our brief was to develop an updated Corporate Identity (CI) for Goodyear Tyre Centres with an innovative and modern look.This would involve us Working with franchise owners to organise and oversee the correlating processes to ensure a smooth installation and implementation of all areas of the revised CI; devloping a website for franchise operators to purchase new office furniture and view the latest CI guidelines; and designing and manufacturing a digital advertising display to be installed in the reception areas.
The solution was to develop a set of guidelines for the centres working from the existing retail branding through a process of design meetings, concepts and updated specifications and maintain this by keeping the guidelines current. We specified details such as a cladding solution, colour swatches, options for bespoke signage (as each site is different), graphical layouts, furniture layouts and much more. We have created a website where franchisees can view the latest CI guidelines and purchase signage, PoS units and furniture that complies with these guidelines. Each site has its own account on the website to create quick and easy automated ordering system for them. After the guidelines were set, we then applied them to several sites that would receive the Goodyear brand. This involves an initial site survey, meeting site managers to discuss design concepts, meeting planning officers, producing external schemes and internal 3D visualisations and collation of budget estimates. Once the site concept is signed off we then produce technical drawings for construction and for local protocol (such as advertising and planning consent). Additionally, we then tender the design package to several approved contractors and manage and oversee the installation through to completion. We developed a TV display unit that links to the internet to allow for new advertising campaign roll outs simultaneously across the whole network from a remote location. As well as displaying local information in real time such as traffic and weather reports.
